Jane Chen - Co-Founder, CEO Jane's background includes a blend of business and social sector experience. Jane previously worked with nonprofit organizations on healthcare issues in developing countries. She spent several years as the Program Director of a startup HIV/AIDS nonprofit in China, and worked for the Clinton Foundation’s HIV/AIDS Initiative in Tanzania. She also worked at Monitor Group as a management consultant, advising Fortune 500 companies in Asia Pacific (across fast moving consumer goods, telecommunications and pharmaceutical industries) in strategy development, marketing, and acquisitions. Jane holds an MBA from Stanford University and a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Pomona College.
Naganand Murty - Co-founder, President of Urban Product Nag brings a solid blend of engineering skills and life science business experience to the team. Nag has work experience in strategy consulting and venture financing, including marketing, pricing, value messaging, and product positioning strategies for some of the world’s best-selling pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device products. In addition to local cultural understanding, he has a keen interest in developing innovative health technology solutions for the developing world. Nag holds an M.S. in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University. He received his undergraduate and master's degrees in aerospace engineering from IIT Bombay.
Dr. Rahul Panicker - Co-Founder, President of Rural Products Rahul brings expertise in engineering and product design. Rahul previously worked at Infinera Corporation, a pioneer in optical telecommunications. During his graduate work at Stanford, his work ranged from particle-accelerator controls to medical imaging to machine learning and adaptive optics. At IIT Madras, he worked with the TeNet group on communication technologies for rural India. Rahul holds an MS and PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, and a B.Tech from IIT Madras, India. He is also an alumnus of the design school at Stanford.
